Abstract:
Current treatment models for young people experiencing a first episode of psychosis focus strongly on psychosocial recovery. But optimal recovery is not possible unless we also address the neurocognitive impairments of the illness. In this talk, I will present research on intensive cognitive training that aims to improve cognition and brain function in individuals with early psychosis.
